Hekate

Folk, classical, balladeer and medieval linked with experimental, electronic sounds! Hekate is hybrid music: the crossover of historical and modern style elements to a multi-faceted music style!

The band was founded in 1993 and since that time it has produced seven albums. The involvement with old myths, legends and fairy tales is the typical, the own Style of Hekate and reveals the rooting and cultural background of the band.
Besides, archaically seeming rhythms, trance-like and ritual elements underline the spiritual character of the music and the intention to take up the concealed wishes, longings and dreams of the listeners.

The most intensive way to understand the band’s concept is the experience of a live gig. The music lives on a rich instrument choice, the alternate singing of (...) Mehr anzeigenAxel Menz and Susanne Grosche and the common understanding and harmonious teamwork of five musicians.
