Marakesh

Marakesh is a rock band led by a singer-songwriter, music producer and multi-instrumentalist Mark Gritsenko. Called by Billboard Russia as “solid and manifestly eclectic sound”, Marakesh’s music is influenced by the 90s alternative rock, combining overdriven guitars with electronic soundscapes and emotionally charged vocals. Originally from Ukraine, the band is now based in Berlin.

Formed in 2006, the band soon appeared in the Grand Theft Auto IV video game soundtrack and actively toured throughout Europe. In addition to headline shows and festival appearances, they performed as an opening act for Placebo. To date, Marakesh released two full length albums and two EPs.

In autumn of 2015 Marakesh have returned with new single Run, followed by Cold Call early 2016. The emotional, big-soundi (...) Mehr anzeigenng tracks give a glimpse of a new EP to be released this fall.
