Mark Balet is a Reggae Singer-Songwriter, Record Producer, and Video Director. Although born in the Ivory Coast, he was raised in Cairo (Egypt), Maryland, London, Paris and Madrid. In 1996 he started his music career in a Hip Hop duo, performing in Reggae sound systems and at open mics. He was influenced by artists like Bob Marley, Lucky Dube, The Police, Steel Pulse, and Bone Thugz N Harmony. Formerly known as Mister Marky, Mark Balet launched his own record label called Eternel Music and released his first album called Eternel in 2009 (Eternel Music / Sony ATV / EMI Music Publishing). He found his way to the mainstream audience from his first single called Outsider being played on MTV Base (France), which was eventually followed by a European tour in 2010.
