Hi there, I'm Berq from Düsseldorf. I'm the guitarist, main songwriter and the lyricist of project Chromatic Orb. First things first, this ad is for a NEW BAND and not for the project Chromatic Orb. New band can use the Chromatic Orb can aim for a fresh start with a new name.

Chromatic Orb is a metal project that I've been working on since early 2023 with a couple of musician friends of mine including the singer. Two singles released, one single ready and will be released on August. Only with the debut single it reached 18K streams, 200 followers and more than 1000 saves+playlist adds.

In terms of style, the first 3 songs are focused on exploration rather than following a strict sound. The direction I want for future is a mixture between Metalcore, Melodic Death Metal and a little bit p (...) Mehr anzeigenrog on top :) Definitely more modern especially compared to the debut single. To name some influences; Killswitch Engage, Soilwork/In Flames and Opeth (especially the acoustic side of it) with a modern twist.

The initial idea was to record an EP with lyrics based on my D&D campaign, just for fun. The project was never meant to and was NOT A POWER METAL project, only lyrics were dark fantasy themed. But then the response and the songs turned out to be great and since the lyrics and the promo strategy was not suitable for a modern metal project, I decided to transform the project into a NEW BAND. Re-recording of the songs with new lyrical themes and more modern instrumentations will be on the table.

I'm 35 years old and have a job but in terms of ambition limit is the sky. I'm fully committed to this project and the goal is clear: going full-pro and quit my job :) So I'm all-in!

The musicians I've been working with are not from DE and we had to part ways. For now it's me (guitars&songwriting) and the drummer from Düsseldorf area.

For all:
- No gender preference as long as the musician satify other criteria.
- Düsseldorf area would be great but I'm mobile and open to remote rehearsal via Elk etc.
- I'm open to working with younger musicians (I might prefer even!) but I have no strict age restriction.

For SINGER:
- Should be able to deliver clean and fry/scream vocals. Growls are nice to have, not a must.
- For reference, The Battle for Nia-Koro of course, Killswitch Engage and last but not least Soilwork.
- Should be able to write his/her own vocal lines.

Chromatic Orb is a modern metal project from Germany by Berkay Oezbek. The initial idea was to record an EP with lyrics based on his D&D campaign, just for fun. For recording he teamed up with a group of talented musicians including vocalists Onur Çobanoğlu and Elvya. The response and the quality turned out to be great and they decided to transform the project into a full live band.

The project was never meant to be and is not a Power Metal project. Project's influences include In Flames, Avenged Sevenfold, Opeth , Soilwork and Killswitch Engage. First four songs are focused more on exploration rather than following a strict genre. Now the direction is clear and the project is on a transformation phase from a project to full live band. The direction is towards a mixture between Metalcore (...) Mehr anzeigen, Melodic Death Metal, Groove Metal with a proggy and modern twist.
